Will Willimon is a retired United Methodist Church pastor and bishop, former Dean of the Chapel at Duke University, and masterful speaker and writer. Several years ago, our church decided to do a congregation-wide study of his Why Jesus? It was a wonderful thing being able to discuss this book with anyone and everyone in the congregation during the study.
Our pastors came up with discussion questions for the book, and I’ve compiled them into these lesson plans. There are twelve chapters, and we covered them in a short three weeks. We skipped several questions along the way to keep up with everyone else, but if you’ve got more time, I’d suggest going at a slower pace to cover more.
